After returning from the U.S. Navy, Don Carter founded a painting business in Riverdale, Georgia, building a reputation for dependable craftsmanship. At 16, Jonathan Carter joined the family business, later working full-time after graduating in 1993. In 2005, he and his wife, Kelly, founded JLC Properties, Inc., expanding into real estate and renovations. Following Don’s retirement in 2022, Jonathan and Keith opened Carter’s Sunrooms & Exteriors in Hampton, later rebranding as Sunspace South Atlanta to honor Don’s legacy after his passing from ALS in 2025.
